Born Nelson Agose, this 24 year old rapper is a proud native of Lagos, Nigeria. It is Nigeria, whom he credits his style and sound. Much of his music displays a heavyand assertive beat that he effortlessly flows to with his distinct voice.Blink is an emerging artist who brings a fresh and signature sound to today’s hip-hop music, with a voice for the next generation he is on par to make his mark on the international music industry. Blink released his debut album in April 2011 marking a huge stage in the career of the multi-talented rapper-songwriter and producer. The album, ‘The World is Small’, consists of 15 original songs from Blink plus a bonus track, each providing a combination of his versatile flow, melodious vocals and heartfelt lyrics. The music is punctuated throughout with elements of hip-hop, Afro-beat, and RnB. The album was recorded at The Ambulance factory Studios , and its production was done by the production team “Baron Boys” of After dreams development, who have produced for artists such as Drake, Young Chris, Nipsey Hustle, Bow Wow and Chicago Native “The boy illinois”. The album is a story of a traveling boy, interacting with the circumstances and situations he finds himself in life and how he uses those experiences to grow into a man. These experiences include, music, culture, race, religion, education, sex, and nationality. After” The World Is Small” Blink went on to release another highly acclaimed independent project titled “American Dream African Principles” which was received with very high ratings from both fans and the media on and offline. Blink has since then moved back to Nigeria and he is signed to the emerging recording group syndik8 records which has produced great acts such as Lynxxx, Ikon and Black Magic. Blink’s music is influenced by musicians from different genre’s and ethnicities. Growing up his parents exposed him to a very diverse range of music like Afro beat, disco, rock, blues, jazz etc. His older brother and cousins got him into hip-hop at about age 6 and he has been a fan of the culture and music since then. The biggest influences on his music include Jay-z, Eminem, Fela Kuti and Michael Jackson.
